Support after the death of a loved one
"Thanks for helping me to get my life back."
We have been established since 1990 and were formed originally as “The West Lancs Bereavement Counselling Services” to respond to an unmet need within the local community.
We are the only voluntary organisation in the area offering this specialist service of its kind.
Although we receive partial funding from The West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group, we have to rely on our own fundraising activites and voluntary donations in order for us to continue our work.
"Your Counsellor helped me through a very difficult time in my life and although I couldn't always see it, there was a light at the end of the tunnel. It has helped me to face other problems I had and to take ownership of them. I can't thank you enough for what he has done for me."
"I am profoundly deaf and lip-read and your Counsellor explained things in a nice way. I feel like I've had closure and can accept what has happened and move on in life. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone else who are bereaved and suffering. It has certainly helped me. Thank you so much."
"Wonderful service. It helped me to understand and come to terms with the loss of my husband. Gave me strength to help myself."
"I found the sessions immensely helpful in that the skills of the Counsellor allowed me the opportunity to reflect on and begin to understand some of the significant issues which I was facing and begin to successfully address them. Thank you so much.
